Secretary of State for Wales Stephen Kinnock said

Today the Prime Minister put a positive offer on the table for how the UK Government and Welsh Government can work together to empower Welsh communities and drive growth in every postcode. I’m delighted that we can now move forward with discussions on where power, responsibilities and decision-making should sit to best serve the people of Wales. Devolution was never intended to stop at Cardiff Bay. While we recognise it is for the Welsh Government to determine how local government works in Wales, we are offering to work in partnership to unlock Wales’s potential.
